The plumbing unit (12) exhibits a case frame (13) which is connected to a carrying framework (15) which can be supported on an unfinished floor (11). In order to be able to install the plumbing unit (12), with precisely the same case frame (13), both in masonry walls and in so-called lightweight-construction walls, angular securing means (28) are fitted on the outside of the two vertical case frame parts (8) in order to receive push-in metal sheets (5) in a fitting manner. Said push-in metal sheets (5) supplement the case frame parts (8) to form a hollow profile and consequently reinforce the case frame (13), this being necessary, for reasons of strength and stability, for installation of the plumbing unit (12) into lightweight-construction walls. <IMAGE>
