A kiln shuttle for the transport of upright, plate-shaped green ceramic articles, in particular roof tiles, has a platform which is provided with holding devices for the upright green articles. The holding devices consist of a number of horizontal plates which in each case have a number of adjacent V-shaped grooves, against the side surfaces of which the lowest edges of the green articles bear. The holding devices lie on vertical supports which are arranged in the platform and are connected by support bars. The side surfaces of the V-shaped grooves enclose an angle of 90 degrees.
