A merchandise carrier for displaying shoes has two arm brackets (1) which are connected to one another and stiffened by a front limiting bar (4). Between the arm brackets (1) there is provided a base (6) for supporting the shoes and a heel bar (5), the limiting bar (4) and the heel bar (5) projecting upwards above the supporting plane (10) formed by the base (6). The heel bar (5) is constructed as a support for the shoes (8) in the heel region. The heel bar (5) is arranged at a distance (13), spanning the shoe sizes, from the front limiting bar (4) and at such a height above the latter that the sole camber is completely or partially eliminated. <IMAGE>
