<p>The method involves the location of a vector capable of occurring either in a passive state of anonymity P, in which its location is not required, or in an active state of location A, in which location by at least one central locating unit is required when the vector and the central unit are near one another. The invention also involves a locating system for implementing the method, comprising (a) a central locating unit (2) with a high frequency transmitter-receiver (3) and an alarm (4), (b) a first marker beacon (5) associated physically and permanently with the vector (1) and containing a high frequency transmitter-receiver which is either in the passive or active state and is coupled to the central unit (2), and (c) a second marker beacon (6) associated physically with the vector (1) but detachable from it, which contains a high frequency transmitter-receiver coupled to the first marker beacon (5). <IMAGE></p> |
