<p>PURPOSE:To give the editing operation to a magnified or contracted image by displaying the images stored in plural set windows in different magnification/ contraction ratios and then changing those stored images with an editing job. CONSTITUTION:An operator selects a desired image out of an image file 15 and displays it on a display 18. Then the operator selects an item 'editing' among windows via a mouse 19 and sets a display device in an image editing mode. An unmagnified image is displayed on the left half area of the display 18; while an image to be edited is stored in an original image data memory part 14 in the form of a bit pattern. When partial magnification is required for the image in an editing mode, the operator uses the mouse 19 to select the desired one out of those magnification ratios displayed on the window. The area of the image using said selected magnification ratio is set on the unmagnified image and a magnified image is displayed on the right side of the display 18.</p> |
