发明名称 COPROCESSOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase number of processing function of a coprocessor by adopting the constitution that different processings are executed by a single macroinstruction in response to a value of an instruction changeover mode. CONSTITUTION:A macro instruction provided in a central processing unit and supplied by the central processing unit is decoded by an instruction decoding means 1 to obtain a microinstruction of a prescribed processing in response to each macroinstruction and the microinstruction is executed by an execution means 2. In a coprocessor executing the microinstruction with a executing means 6, a microinstruction of a different processing from a different value of an instruction changeover mode is stored in a microinstruction storage means 4 with respect to a single macro instruction supplied by a CPU. Thus, the said macro instruction storage means 4 is accessed by the instruction switching mode of a mode storage means 3 and the address obtained from the macro instruction so as to increase number of processings executed by the execution means 6 without increasing the number of macro instructions.
