PURPOSE:To improve the heat transfer efficiency of bodies to be heated in a heating furnace and to reduce the consumption unit of fuel by suspending plural chain or wiry members made of a heat resistant material as heat transfer accelerators in the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A continuous heating furnace is composed of a furnace body 1, an inlet part 2 and an outlet part 3. Bodies 4 to be heated are conveyed to the furnace body 1 through the inlet part 2, heat treated in the furnace body 1 and taken out through the outlet part 3. Plural chain or wiry members 5 made of a heat resistant material are suspended as heat transfer accelerators in the furnace body 1 at plural positions.
