PURPOSE:To very easily produce alloy powder having a desired composition by feeding metallic materials having different compositions to a heat source and by jetting a high-speed jet on the resulting molten metals. CONSTITUTION:A plasma gas is fed to the body 2 of a plasma spraying device 1 from the gas feed hole 8. The fed gas passes through a path 5 and enters nontransferred arc generated between the anode 3 and the cathode 4 to form a high-speed plasma jet. This plasma jet flows in the nozzle 6 at ultrahigh temp. and supersonic speed and collides against metallic wires 12a, 12b having different compositions fed to the nozzle 6 from lateral positions to simultaneously melt the wires and to spout the resulting molten metals from the nozzle 6. A high-speed flow 21 of particles of a molten alloy formed by the spouting is cooled in an atmospheric gas and collected in a vessel 13 as alloy powder 22.
