PURPOSE:To enable manufacture of a product having high strength, by a method wherein metallic sheets, where reinforcing fibers are aligned, are laminated, composition treatment is effected at a high temperature and a high pressure, and machining is applied on a joint where no reinforcing fiber is aligned. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing fiber 3 is present only at a pipe body part 5, and is absent at a joint part 6. In the joint part 6, a hole 4, having joint structure in that the joint is coupled to other part by means of a pin, is formed. In manufacture of the pipe, a metallic sheet, where reinforcing fibers 3 are aligned only at the central part of a metallic foil, is wound in a spiral manner around a mandrel for lamination, and composition treatment by HIP is effected. In which case, a pipe, in which a body part 5, where a metal and the reinforcing fibers 3 are brought into a composite state, and the joint parts 6, positioned on both sides of the body part, containing no reinforcing fiber 3, and formed only by a metallic part, are formed integrally, is provided. Thereafter, a hole 4 is formed in the joint part 6 by given machining to form joint structure.
