<p>PURPOSE:To contemplate the stabilization of a working face and the security of fluidity suitable for transportation is slurry shield tunneling, by discharging a mixture of excavated soil and high-viscosity gel slurry consisting of a gel material, a gelling agent and a degelling agent toward the back of an excavator. CONSTITUTION:A slurry feed line 8 is connected to the discharge and of a reservoir 11 and slurry is fed to a mud delivery pipe 6 by a pressure feed pump P1 provided on the line 8. A gelling agent feed line 16 is connected to the line 8 at a point just before a position where the line 8 is connected to the pipe 6. A tunnel type liquid tank 18 and a valve 20 are provided above the feed line 16. When the valve 20 is opened, the gelling agent in the tank 18 is added to the line 8 where the agent is combined with a gel material transported therethrough. The gel material is passed through a line mixer 21 and thickened. The resulting high-viscosity material is passed through the pipe 6 and discharged to a pressure chamber 3, where the material is mixed with excavated soil fed through a cutter disk 4, whereby a working face can be kept while a predetermined pressure is maintained.</p> |
