PURPOSE:To simplify the editing operation of an operator and to easily obtain the proper result of translation by displaying case relation on the operator in an intelligible expression when a relative state is changed. CONSTITUTION:When the translated sentences shown at a display part 8 are edited, the paragraph of an original sentence that can have plural case relations is designated via an input part 1. Then a case retrieving part checks the case relation information stored in a structure converting part in order to obtain a case relation with the relevant paragraph. The case relation information on the designated paragraph is displayed on the part 8. Here one of those case relation information is selected via the part 1 and a case converting part urges the structure converting part to perform the second translation according to the selected case relation information. The structure converting part carries out the second translation and then a translated sentence generating part produces a proper translated sentence. In such a way, the editing operation of an operator is simplified and the proper result of translation is easily obtained.
