PURPOSE:To provide a dental material having low melting point and improved in affinity for other metals, by specifying the blending proportion of an In-Sn-Ga ternary alloy. CONSTITUTION:The dental metallic material used by mixing and kneading metal powders is constituted of a ternary alloy consisting of 24.6-45wt% In, 1-30wt% Sn, and the balance Ga and having a melting point of <=15 deg.C. This alloy has superior wettability to dentine and other metals, and, when used in filling the cavities in the teeth, it causes no gaps between the dentine and itself. Moreover, this alloy is free from toxicity in vital reactions. Accordingly, it is useful when used in the restoration of artificial teeth and dental cast metal plates as well as in the restoration of cavities.
