摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent leak, and a breakdown of a photosensitive body due to a voltage rise caused by a grid float, to detect a fault in an early stage, to easily execute a repair, and to obtain a scorotron electrifying device having a high reliability, by connecting a constant-voltage element to a grid in parallel to a constant-voltage holding means. CONSTITUTION:As soon as an operation of an electrophotographic device is started, a photosensitive body 4 opposed to an electrifier consisting of corona wire 1, a casing 2, and a grid 3 is driven in the direction as indicated with an arrow A, and also, a high voltage is applied to the corona wire 1 and a corona discharge is started. A part of a charge which has been generated by the corona wire 1 is grounded through the casing, 2, but the residual charge goes to the grid 3 and the photosensitive body 4. The grid 3 is set in advance to a prescribed voltage Vg by a potential means (constant-voltage holding means) 5, and by this voltage value Vg, a charge amount flowing to the grid 3 and a charge amount going toward the photosensitive body 4 are controlled, and the electrified potential of the photosensitive body 4 can be controlled. Also, in addition to the potential setting means 5, a constant-voltage element 6 is provided in parallel separately.
