PURPOSE:To constantly keep the air in a housing clean by providing two valves positioned at the upstream side and the down stream side of the air on the way of an air flow passage formed in the housing and interrupting the inside and the outside of the housing at both the sides of an air filter. CONSTITUTION:A spindle motor 12 is rotated by communicating the housing 10 with the filter 41 while the inside of the housing 10 and the outside of the housing 10 are interrupted. The air discharged to the outer peripheral side of a magnetic disk 11 passes through the filter 41 from an opening part 34, is cleaned, absorbed to the center hole 42 of the magnetic disk 11, discharged to the outer peripheral side of the magnetic disk 11 and circulated. The valves 37, 37 are closed at a suitable time when the blinding of the filter 41 is not generated, the filter 41 is taken out between packings 39, 39 to be replaced by a new filter 41 with the valves 37, 37 closed, the valves 37, 37 are opened, thereby, the air in the housing can be constantly kept clean.
