PURPOSE:To constitute the titled device so that an operator can select optionally a means for detecting an original size in accordance with necessity, and to improve the operability, by providing a feeding means, the first and the second size detecting means, a selecting means, an image forming means, and a control means. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 201 is a microcomputer for controlling each indicator, a display element is controlled, and the display contents are based on the instruction (communication) data of the CPU. In accordance with the instruction of the CPU 201, a 35-bit data is read out successively from a character generator 203. Other LED MATRIX 208 of a display part is driven by dynamic lighting. When a copy start key is depressed, the original position size of an original placed on an original platen glass base is detected. When the original size is detected, if an automatic magnification selection AMS is selected, longitudinal and lateral magnifications are calculated, respectively, from the original and the selected form size, and when its smaller one is set an an optimum magnification and an automatic selection is executed, a picture being free from an image omission is obtained. |
