PURPOSE:To heighten resistance to environment and heighten data transfer speed by making a driving circuit demodulate modulated signals and store demodulated data in a memory, and output the data to the memory omitting gap information. CONSTITUTION:A file memory drive 19 is accessed by a drive select signal in the control line 7 of an FDC 3. When a write gate signal is in off state, the file memory drive 19 executes read operation based on the data of an address of an RAM 27 determined by track shifting. Only ID information and data are stored in the RAM 27. Accordingly, when a microprocessor 18 writes 8 bits (1 byte) data in an output buffer 16, an FM or MFM modulator 12 reads the data sends out to the FDC 3 as FM or FMF signals through a read data signal line 6a, a buffer for interface 8 and a read data signal line 6.
