PURPOSE:To simply finding out the driving distance of a lens and to improve the following accuracy of focus adjustment to a moving object by inhibiting correction and controlling the correction of a photographing lens when lens driving is to be accelerated from a lens stop state increasing an error up to the maximum speed. CONSTITUTION:Integration for focus detection is executed during the driving of the photographing lens, and the lens is driven at the maximum speed because a defocused value is large in case of correcting the lens driving distance during integration based on the integrated result, correction following the movement of he lens by a moving distance correcting means is not executed at least during a period from the lens stop state up to the maximum speed. When the photographing lens is driven at a low speed at the time of low defocused value, a lens driving value during integration at the time of acceleration is calculated as a correction value and the photographing lens is controlled in accordance with the correction value. |
