PURPOSE:To provide a mildew-proofing agent obtained by compounding p- dichlorobenzene with a small amount of dimethyl fumarate, exhibiting remarkably improved mildew-proofing property of p-dichlorobenzene and high synergistic effect which cannot be attained by separate use of each component and suitable for the treatment of a container of clothes, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective mildew-proofing agent can be produced by compounding 100pts.wt. of p-dichlorobenzene with 1-20pts.wt. of dimethyl fumarate. The agent is used in the form of powder, tablet or pellet. The powder is filled in an air-permeable bag made of e.g. Japanese paper and the tablet or pellet is put into a properly perforated bag made of plastic or moistureproof cellophane. EFFECT:The mildew-proofing effect lasts over a long period. |
