PURPOSE:To execute the hard copying of a picture designated regardless of a luminance signal and a color classification by providing a picture memory to store the binarized data of a designated color picture, storing the binarized data of the said picture by the printing designation and reading them by the same timing as the color picture. CONSTITUTION:When a color designation is executed together with the picture data such as bit data and vector data from an operating part 13, the color is converted to the brightness information of an RGB by a color signal generating part 12 and stored into a picture memory 1 designated by a picture preparing part 22. At such a time, when a printing command is inputted, the binarized data of the picture are prepared and stored into a printing picture memory 17 of the same address as the memory 1. The printing picture memory 17 is scanned by an address counter equipped with a reading part 10 and the picture memory 1 and the printing picture memory 17 are read by the same timing. After the binarized data read from the printing picture memory 17 are D/A- converted by a D/A 19, a synchronizing signal is synthesized and a printing signal as a compound signal is outputted.
