<p>PURPOSE:To stop a magnetic tape at a correct position by using a detecting signal to occur when the ratio of the level of both reproducing signals reproduced from both adjoining recording tracks comes to be the value specified beforehand at the time of shifting. CONSTITUTION:When the titled device starts from an R track and stops at the next R track, driving is started by an output 74 of an accelerating time setting circuit 2 and a rotary head is shifted on a tape along a locus 32. During the shifting period, both output levels of the above-mentioned both rotary heads 11 and 12 are compared at a comparing circuit 13, and a detecting signal 76 to occur when the ratio, in which both outputs are specified beforehand, for example, the output level ratio of both heads is inverted, is obtained. The detecting signal 76 occurs when the rotary head is positioned to the position specified beforehand on a tape pattern. Consequently, when the detecting signal 76 is impressed to a monomulti 7 and a capstan motor 4 is braked, the magnetic tape can be always stopped at the correct position.</p> |
