PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of the color development density of a cyan color image by reducing an amount of a high-boiling organic solvent in an emulsion containing a specified cyan coupler to <=0.3wt% of the total amount of the cyan coupler. CONSTITUTION:The cyan coupler is represented by the formula shown on the right in which R1 is -CONR5R6, -NHCOR5, -NHCO2R7, -NHSO2R7, -NHCONR5R6, or -NHSO2NR5R6; R2 is a group substitutable on a naphthalene ring; m is an integer of 0-3; R3 is a monovalent organic group; X is H or a group to be released by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of the aromatic primary amine color developing agent; each of R5 and R6 is independently H, an aliphatic group, aromatic group, or heterocyclic group; and R7 is an aliphatic group, aromatic group, or heterocyclic group. The emulsion layer containing said cyan coupler contains the high-boiling solvent at most in an amount of <=0.3wt% of the total amount of the cyan coupler, thus permitting the cyan color development density not to be deteriorated, at the time of processing with a bleaching solution or bleach-fixing solution weak in oxidation capacity.
