PURPOSE:To attain image signal recording for respective recording tracks by changing the access position of a recording means to a prescribed position of a direction along a medium surface when the detaching action of the recording medium is executed. CONSTITUTION:When a picture recorded cartridge is loaded up to a track on the way and the first track of a disk is already picture-recorded, the output of a comparator COM comes to be H at the starting time point of a motor MO by turning on a switch SWR1. Consequently, the picture recording is prohibited, a plunger is conducted and heads 15A and 15B are shifted to the next track. When a new track is not picture-recorded yet at the time point of shifting the heads 15A and 15B, the output of the comparator COM comes to be L, the picture recording prohibition is released, the output of an AND gate AG2 comes to be H, an FF3 is set and the signal for one frame is recorded to a new track.
