PURPOSE:To obtain a novel sandwiched rice ball to which even a Western-style food can be used as an ingredient easily observable from outside, by pressing cooked rice to a flat shape, sandwiching a food ingredient between a pair of flat rice sheets to form a block, wrapping the block with a laver sheet, etc., and packing the obtained assembly in an exterior packaging film. CONSTITUTION:Cooked rice 1 is pressed to a flat shape. A food ingredient 2 is sandwiched between a pair of the flat rice sheets 1 and the obtained block 3 is wrapped with a rollable food 4 such as a laver sheet in a manner that the laminated sandwich state is exposed to at least one side face (preferably a water-impermeable film is extractably inserted between the block and the laver sheet, etc.). The whole assembly is packed in an exterior packaging film 7 to obtain a sandwiched rice ball. The block may be divided into two after being wrapped with the laver sheet, etc. |
