PURPOSE:To decrease the generating rate of NOx in a burner, by injecting a primary premixed gas into a combustion chamber, by burning the gas in close contact with the surface of a burner port body, and by forming a swirling blue flame belt separating from the ports of a burner port body. CONSTITUTION:When a heater 41 is energized to preheat an evaporating cylinder 40 and a fan 45 and a pump 47 are driven, liquid fuel and a primary air are fed into the evaporating cylinder 40, turned into a primary premixed gas, led to a passage 51 and small holes 54 from the center part of a mixing plate 42, injected to the inside from burner ports 50 provided on a burner port body 49. Then the primary premixed gas is injected into a combustion chamber 55, given a swirl flow, because the burner ports 50 are provided in the direction of a tangential line. The gas is burned, forming a swirling blue flame belt 56, when it is ignited by an ignition electrode 59. While the premixed gas is uniformly rectified by passing through small holes 54, injected into the combustion chamber 55 from a bottom burner port body 52, burned in close contact with the outer surface of a bottom burner port body 52. In such a manner, circulation of exhaust gas to the primary premixed gas and generation of partially high temperature zone in combustion flames are prevented; as a result, generation of NOx can be suppressed.
