PURPOSE:To obtain signal points of honey-comb structure with less hardware by using two sets of orthogonal amplitude modulators and activating each signal point to be each apex of different regular triangles and multiplexing the result. CONSTITUTION:A data pre-processing section 2 processes once a data from an input terminal 1 and uses a D/A conversion circuit to apply D/A conversion thereby making a signal input to orthogonal amplitude modulators 3-1,3-2 different from each other. That is, the output of the modulator 3-1 uses a point 01 as the origin to form signal points represented by axes I1, Q1 where the interval of quantized level is 3:1 and the output of the other orthogonal amplitude modulator 3-2 takes a point 02 as the original to form signal points represented by axis I2, Q2 whose quantized level interval is 3:1. Then both the outputs are multiplexed and the signal points are tied with each other to form a shape of multi-connection of regular triangles. Thus, the signal points of honey-comb structure are obtained by less hardware. |
