PURPOSE:To perform recording even on a different recording medium simply and accurately, by providing a control means wherein a positive image or a mirror image is recorded on a recording medium and color overlapping order is reversed at the time of the recording of the positive image and at the time of the recording of the mirror image to perform recording. CONSTITUTION:A bar code 43 is printed on the end part of a B.P.F. sheet and, when the sheet is mounted between feed rollers 2, 3, the discrimination sensor 35 comprising an optical sensor provided at the position corresponding to the bar code 43 reads said bar code 43 to confirm the B.P.F. sheet. Because no bar code is applied to usual recording paper, the discrimination of the B.P.F. sheet is certainly performed. CPU21 delays the timing of an ink emitting order on the basis of the values of distances D1-D3 from a nozzle 9C coming to a standard one through a delay circuit 64 and performs control so that the matching of the scanning position of a carriage and the recording position of each recording nozzle is performed, that is, overlapping printing is performed in an accurately matched state. |
