PURPOSE:To realize the miniaturization, high reliability and cost reduction of a head while performing high speed recording, by providing a sub-nozzle, which generates an auxiliary jet stream imparting a speed component to the jet stream of a main nozzle in a direction crossing said jet stream at a right angle, to both sides of the main nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The auxiliary jet stream from a sub-nozzle 12 is blocked by a front wall part 27a to be turned to a downward direction as shown by a broken line direction to impart a downward speed component to the jet stream from a main nozzle 11. That is, a jet stream as the sum vector of the vector of the jet stream from the main nozzle 11 and the vector of the auxiliary jet stream is generated in a liquid sump 26 and an ink droplet files to the downward direction with respect to the direction [horizontal direction shown by an arrow (a)] of the jet stream from the main nozzle as shown by an arrow (b). The angle of the flight direction in this case can be adjusted arbitrarily by adjusting the height or width of a pulse due to an auxiliary drive circuit 24. |
