PURPOSE:To obtain enough blow of hot air by a small and portable hot air blower, by compositing a combustion means by carrying a catalyst to a ceramic body having a number of air holes, and by providing a mixing chamber to mix fuel gas with air. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic catalyst 7 is provided to a combustion means 2. The ceramic catalyst 7 is composed of a honeycomb ceramic body having a number of air holes 6, by which a catalyst such as platinum is carried. When a switch 14 is slid one step, gas is fed to a gas nozzle 17 from a tank 5 through a gas feed pipe 36, and is injected. While an ignition means 3 is red-heated on a battery 4 through a closed switch contacting point 15. This state is continued for about 10sec. After that when the switch 14 is slid another step, the gas is injected from the gas nozzle 17 in succession, while a motor 18 is energized on the battery 4 through the switch contacting point 15, and a fan 19 is rotated. The gas and part of blast air fed by the fan 19 are mixed in a mixing chamber 8, and a mixed gas causes catalytic combustion while it is passes through the air holes 6 of a ceramic catalyst 7. The blast air is heated by the combustion means 2, turned into hot air, and is discharged from a discharge nozzle 29.
