PURPOSE:To form and display a three-dimensional image on CRT in an extremely easy manner, by a method wherein the figure corresponding orders of an i-picture and an (i-1) picture are inputted by a keyboard and a label is unified to be stored in an image processor. CONSTITUTION:An image processor 10 obtains a clean image signal wherein principal matter is left and noise is removed to store the same Image data expressed by X-, Y- and Z-coordinates values is stored in the memory part corresponding to i=1 in such a state that label is applied to the principal matter. Next, a display device (CRT)11 sets i=2 to input a signal, which is obtained when an ultrasonic probe 1 is stepwise driven by ZD/N to a Z-direction, to an electromotive drive apparatus i order to move said signal to the Z-direction by a Z-direction moving member 3. The figure corresponding orders of an i- picture and an (i-1) picture are inputted by a keyboard 12 and both pictures are displayed by different colors. Herein, if i=N is formed, the coordinates data of a three-dimensional image subjected to contour line dicing is stored in the processor 10. When an operator performs a display mode order by the keyboard 12, the ordered three-dimensional image is displayed on a display device (CRT)13.
