PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic plate having high sensitivity to light in a wide wavelength region, by using that of a composite type containing a nitrofluorenone compound and a specified leuco lactone compound as a charge transfer substance, and copper phthalocyanine and a disazo type pigment as a charge generating substance. CONSTITUTION:Compounds used as a charge transfer substance are nitrofluorenone or its derivative, and a leuco lactone compound represented by formula I or II in which R<x>, R<y>, R<z> are H, OH, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, NO2, NH2, lower mono- or dialkylamino, acylamido, sulfonylamido mono- or diaralkylamino, or aryl. A charge generating layer containing copper phthalocyanine and a disazo type pigment is formed on a conductive substrate, and then, said layer containing said charge transfer substance is provided on this layer, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic plate to have high sensitivity to light in 500-825nm wavelength region, especially the maximum peak in 600-900nm, suitability for use of a lase source for a high-speed printer, and durability. |
