PURPOSE:To aim at reduction in a scanning line moire and a signal moire, by setting the number of display dots situated on a one array line in a scanning direction or a vertical direction on a screen to the same number of less than the number of display dots to be situated on one array line in other directions. CONSTITUTION:Signs of m1-m18 and straight lines A0, A1... and B0, B1... showing phosphor dots 9 are marked with disposition of these phosphor dots in and around the center point of a screen 3. For example, taking a dot m10 into account as the center, each of array lines B0-B4 is tilted as much as theta 10 deg. to a Y-axis, and likewise each of array lines A0-A6 is formed into an array pattern tilted as much as theta 10 deg. to an X-axis. And, when this array pattern is rotated as far as about 10 deg. to both X-and Y-axes, straight strength can be weakened to 3 from 11 at on the Y-axis and the straight strength on the X-axis from 5 to 3, respectively. With this constitution, occurrence of a signal moire and a scanning line moire both is reduced.
