PURPOSE:A fireproofing putty composition which is used at floor communicating part and wall communicating part of electric wire in order to prevent the spread of fire of electric cable, obtained by blending a mixture consisting of a liquid polymer, an inorganic filler, a flame-retardant, reinforcing fibers and a plasticizer with a specific amount of oil-absorbing powder. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. liquid polymer is blended with (B) 350-1,000pts.wt. inorganic filler, (C) 5-50pts.wt. flame-retardant, (D) 2-20pts.wt. reinforcing fibers and (E) 30-60pts.wt. plasticizer to give a blend, which is further mixed with based on 100pts.wt. component E of (F) 5-50pts.wt. oil-absorbing powder (e.g. polynorbornene powder, zeolite, etc.) to give the aimed fireproofing putty composition.
