Device 1 enabling parts of a soft, pasty or granular material to be separated, characterised in that it comprises a rotary drum 2 having a cylindrical external surface 3; a body 26 having a concave and cylindrical front surface 27, adjacent to the said external surface 3 of the said drum 2 and of corresponding shape; at least one channel 28 for supplying the said material to be divided extending into the said body 28 radially to the said drum 2; at least one chamber 10 provided in the said drum 2 radially and having an open end 12; and means 24 for pivoting the said drum 2 between a feed position of the said chamber 10 in which its open end 12 is opposite the said supply channel 28 with a view to filling it with material and a discharge position in which the external surface 3 of the said drum 2 obstructs the end of the said supply channel 28 and the end 12 of the said chamber 10 is cleared with a view to discharging the material part formed in the said chamber 10. <IMAGE>
