The invention relates to vehicle rear optical units. The optical unit comprises a lid 200, of which one region is pierced by openings 321' which ensure that the air coming from the interior of the vehicle and passing through the casing of the optical unit is evacuated. The openings are situated in at least one region 220 with an optical function of the lid.
