PURPOSE:To attain the common use of a subscriber line by using a detection means to detect a call from a terminal equipment, using a connection means to detect and select an idle line thereby connecting the terminal equipment and a subscriber line. CONSTITUTION:A call from a terminal equipment is detected by a call detection circuit 4 and its information is led to a line selection circuit 2. The line selection circuit 2 detects and selects an idle line of a subscriber line termination circuit 1 to connect a terminal line termination circuit 3 receiving a signal from the terminal equipment and the subscriber line termination circuit 1.
