PURPOSE:To automatically change the NC data into another one having a different data format without using any automatic programming language, by using a conversion table to change the format of the 1st NC data into that of the 2nd NC data. CONSTITUTION:A G code conversion table GTB showing the correspondence between G codes the 1st and 2nd NC data is registered to a RAM 103 together with an M code conversion table MTB for M codes of both NC data and a coordinate value command code conversion tables PTB for coordinate value command codes X, Y, Z, I, J and K respectively for conversion of the 1st NC data into the 2nd NC data. Then the format of the 1st NC data is converted into that of the 2nd NC data by means of those conversion tables.
