PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency and to prevent the encroachment of the rain water, by boring an inlet on one side of a main frame body, providing an air outlet on the other side, annexing a partition member to divide a stator room from a bearing room on the side plate close to the inlet, journaling a cooling fan to a rotor shaft close to the outlet and forcibly cooling the rotor. CONSTITUTION:On the outside circumference of a main frame body 1 a radiation fin 1a is formed and a stator 2 is inserted into the frame body 1. A cooling passage 3 is formed in the axial direction on the outside circumference of the stator 2. On both end openings of the main frame body 1 side plates 6 and 7 are installed. An inlet 4 is bored to the side plate 6; an outlet 5 is provided on the opposite side. Each bearing 8 and 9 is provided to side plates 6 and 7, to which a rotor shaft 10 is pivotably installed. An air vent 13 is bored to a rotor 11 and iron core suppressing members 12a and 12b. To the inside of the side plate 6, a partition member 17 is annexed to divide a stator room 15 from a bearing room 16. To a rotor shaft 10 close to the outlet 5 a cooling fan 21 is journalled.
