PURPOSE:To enable optional and universal tilting of a continuous steel making furnace in a transverse direction by mounting one wheel of an installed carriage with the continuous steel making furnace to a frame carriage via a shaft at one end and mounting the other end to a lever supported to a hydraulic cylinder, etc. CONSTITUTION:The wheel 8 on the slag discharge port 4 side of the carriage frame 7 installed with the continuous steel making furnace 1 is mounted via a bearing 8' to the carriage frame 7. The wheel 9 on the opposite side is mounted via a bearing 9' to the lever turnably mounted via the shaft 10 to the carriage frame 7. The other end of the lever 11 is supported via a bracket 13 to the carriage frame 7 by the liquid pressure cylinder 12. The carriage frame 7 tilts 17 around the wheel 8 via the lever 11 toward the slag discharge port 4 side of the continuous steel making furnace 1 when liquid pressures 19, 19' are acted to the hydraulic cylinder 12 in the above-mentioned constitution. The correction of the slag discharge level is thereby permitted and the repair or relining of the slag discharge port 4 and refractory material is permitted, by which the stable operation is executed.
