PURPOSE:To secure such a secondary battery negative electrode that is provided with an excellent characteristic, by making a carbon fiber molded body contact with metallic lithium under the presence of an organic solvent solution of lithium salt, and letting this carbon fiber molded body occlude the metallic lithium. CONSTITUTION:As for lithium salt of an organic solvent solution made to be existence when a carbon fiber molded body and metallic lithium are contact with each other, LiClO4, LiBF4, etc., by way of example, are suitably used, and as for an organic solvent, an aprotic, high dielectric constant organic solvent is desirable. Next, the carbon fiber molded body to be contacted with the metallic lithium is dipped in the organic solvent of lithium salt, or this lithium salt organic solvent solution is sufficiently impregnated in the carbon fiber molded body, making it occulde the lithium. The occulded metallic lithium is taken in a crystal lattice of a carbon fiber of the molded body and a clearance between carbon fibers themselves of the molded body, and a complex making the carbon fiber occulde the metal lithium is assembled in a secondary batter as a negative electrode. |
