PURPOSE:The titled solution, containing an onium salt of a conjugated polymer of an aromatic heterocyclic compound containing N, S, O or P as a ring member as a solute and capable of sustaining a homogeneous and stable solution state and optionally carrying out operation, e.g. coating, evaporating to dryness, etc. CONSTITUTION:A solution obtained by using an onium salt of a conjugated polymer of an aromatic heterocyclic compound containing an atom selected from N, S, O and P as a ring member, preferably pyrrole, etc., as a solute. Specifically, in order to obtain the above-mentioned solution, for example, the above-mentioned aromatic heterocyclic compound is dissolved in a solvent to form an onium compound, which i directly polymerized in the solvent to form the aimed onium salt of the polymer. A polar solvent is preferred for the solvent for dissolving the onium salt of the polymer.
