PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which has a good shelf life and obviates staining of hardware during running by subjecting the capsule toner which consists of a core material and the shell formed around the same and is stuck with pulverized particles on the shell to a prescribed treatment and specifying the ratio of the number of the pulverized particles sticking to the toner surface before and after said treatment to a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:5g capsule toner which consists of the core material contg. a display recording material and the shell formed around the same and is stuck with the pulverized particles on the shell is put into 50ml stainless steel beaker and the ratio of the number of the pulverized particles sticking to the toner surface before and after shaking of the beaker for 10hr at a ratio of 220 times per minute at 1.5cm amplitude is specified to >=0.95. The capsule toner is produced by forming the resin shell having the property to be broken down by the application of pressure thereto around the core material contg. the coloring agent and binder. The pulverized powder of silica, titanium dioxide, alumina, carbon black, polymethyl methacrylate, etc., is securely stuck to the surface of such capsule toner by mechanochemical reaction. |
