PURPOSE:To cope with two kinds of disk units having different diameters and to minimize the increase in cost by providing the disk unit insertion part that two kinds of disk units having different diameters can be inserted, a lid lock releasing means and disk loading device. CONSTITUTION:When the case 31 of the conventional disk unit is inserted into a disk unit insertion part D, small diameter disk case guide parts 67, 68 and both claw releasing levers 56, 63 of a lid plate locking release mechanism F are respectively pushed by the case 31 and moved to the outside of the insertion space. In case of loading a small diameter disk 36 or recovering a lid plate locking release mechanism F releases the engagement of the engaging holes 35c, 35d of a case 35 and the engaging projection part 38c of a lid 38 at the loading time. The disk 36 is supported by a disk supporting member 14, the clamper of a catcher unit is opened by the clamper cam for small diameter and the release and recovery of the disk are performed.
