PURPOSE:To obtain a conjecture value having high accuracy, by conjecturing a convergence temperature, based on a measured value which is obtained momentarily after a measurement is started, in a conjecture type electronic clinical thermometer. CONSTITUTION:When a measurement is started, a temperature detecting means 10 executes a sampling measurement of a temperature at every prescribed cycle, and inputs an obtained measured value to a CPU 8. The CPU 8 calculates a weighted means of the measured value which is inputted, and stores it in the first storage part in a memory 9. Also, based on these stored measured values, a conjecture value of a convergence temperature is calculated, a weighted means value of this conjecture value is derived and it is stored in the second storage part in said memory 9. The measured value or the conjecture value which is brought to the weighted means is displayed on an indicator 4 by a necessary timing.
