Filling devices for tubular dryers are, for controlling the sliding behaviour of the material to be dried, equipped with a chute which can be pivoted between two lateral guide walls, an accumulation wall held height-adjustably above the chute, and a bottom wall which screens off downwardly the region underneath the chute. To improve the economy of such a filling device, the chute (2) is equipped with a blowing unit (14) which projects in the manner of a prolongation beyond the dryer-side chute end section (2a) and the blowing openings (15a) of which lie opposite the inlet end wall (9) of the tubular dryer (1) at an adjustable spacing. <IMAGE> |
