<p>A method of preparing a dry, edible plant material, wherein pieces of a water- and sugar-containing plant material are pressed to adjust the sugar content of the material to a value of from 30 to 80 % based on dry substance, and wherein the pressed material is dried with superheated steam in a fluid bed. The dry plant product thus formed is crisp, golden and has a pleasant, sweet flavour.</p> |
