In a rail vehicle with a traction device formed essentially from a spring (1), a traction rod (2) and a plate-shaped support bearing (3), the said traction device is held on longitudinal bearers (5) of the underframe via horizontal flanges (3a) of its support bearing (3) by means of screw connections (4), and can be supported in the pulling direction via the front face (3b) of its support bearing (3) on rear end faces (5b) of traction stops (5a) attached on the bearer side. In order to be able to span virtually without force, that is to say without loading the support bearing (3) with significant bending forces, an air gap which may be present between the front face (3b) of the support bearing (3) and the rear end faces (5b) of the traction stops (5a), the screw connections (4) each have an elastically resilient element (6), (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
