<p>Process for repairing damage to pipes of a supply system, whereby a monitoring station indicates, on a pipe network plan of the supply system, the damaged section of pipe, together with the type of damage which has occurred, the shut-off valves situated closest to the point of damage, as well as the material and operating parameters of the damaged pipe section. Next, the appropriate shut-off valves are operated and the repair personnel sent to the site of the damage, together with the necessary spare parts and mechanical equipment. On completion of the repairs, the shut-off valves are opened, with the result that the repaired pipe section of the supply system is again made available for the conveyance of the medium.</p> |
