Method for ionizing liquid, wherein, using the principle of a Voltaic cell, first and second electroconductive members formed of substances having different electrochemical potentials are kept apart from each other to be brought into contact with liquid to be ionized, such as water, utilizing said liquid as electrolyte, and these electroconductive members are electrically connected to cause electric energy to flow in the liquid, by which the liquid is ionized. An apparatus for putting this method into practice comprises keeping first and second electroconductive members formed of substances having different electrochemical potentials apart from each other to be brought into contact with liquid such as water and connecting electrically these electroconductive members. |
