PURPOSE:To prevent an oil film from drying up by not generating a strong magnetic field gradient around a ball and preventing a magnetic fluid from being adsorbed to inner and outer rings or holder. CONSTITUTION:Strong magnetic fields are generated between end edges 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b of a holder 4 and inner and outer rings 1, 2 respectively, and the magnetic fluid filled in a bearing is concentrated and held by these magnetic fields. Since there are not magnetic poles on both sides 12, 12 in the axial direction of the pocket hole 4a of the holder 4, very little magnetic flux passes through a ball 3, and no strong magnetic field gradient is generated between the ball 3 and the inner and outer rings 1, 2 and the holder 4. Accordingly, the adsorption between the ball 3 and the inner and outer rings 1, 2 or the holder 4 is effectively prevented, and the lubrication to predetermined positions in the bearing can be reliably performed.
