PURPOSE:To improve flatness of the guide surface of a carrier, to lower the cost of a printer and to enhance printing accuracy, by supporting a thin shaft as a guide shaft by a vertical plate integrated with the frame body of the printer. CONSTITUTION:A guide shaft 42 is a thin columnar shaft and supported by the leading end of a frame 4 (the frame body of a printer 1) bent upwardly. That is, the guide shaft 42 supports a carrier 44 slidably through the support plate 48 sliding with the upper end of said shaft 42. The carrier 44 is moved by a space motor through a space wire 49 and guided by guide shafts 41, 42 to print the recording paper set to a platen 5 while moves along the platen 5. Therefore, a thick columnar shaft becomes unnecessary, the flatness of the guide surface of the carrier can be improved, the cost of the printer can be lowered, and printing accuracy can be enhanced. |
